A Silver Lining?
COVID-19 brought our normal world to a screeching halt. Fear, anxiety, even panic struck our nation and the world. But was the end result a disaster for everyone? With the bad often comes some good. The author started baking challah bread, and as she kneaded the dough, she said prayers for family and friends, especially those dealing with COVID-19. This book of essays is NOT a cookbook, but rather a collection of stories through which the author examines the effect the virus lockdown had on various friends, family, and neighbors, all through a Jewish lens and with a sharp wit.
MARILYN COHEN SHAPIRO
is the author of four books and multitudes of articles published across the globe, many in the Jewish World newspaper. She not only presents insightful perspectives but also injects a unique intellect on events.
