Militarism is our biggest human failure. Since 1900 200 million people have died, more been injured, and perhaps two billion traumatised by arms and war. Over that time the cost to each family in the world is some $250,000. We have military dictators over half the world's population and weakened democracy. It should end, but the militarists keep us locked in on the build-up of weapons and world-wide permanent conflict. The Superpowers perpetuate, and sell, the dominance of arms. They control the UN. Surprisingly, when you think it through, disarming the world is safe and far easier than the present military build-up. It can happen in six years without danger. It merely requires bypassing the great military establishments through world popular democracy, a move nearly successful in 1932 when it was far more difficult. This book outlines a fairly obvious disarmament process and how the military system can be replaced. It shows that peace has always been more practical than war and exposes the false arguments of militarism.

We see what that involves and the fight necessary to war on war. We can make world peace.
