Synopsis

Jacob Lane was the new pastor of Christ King of Kings church. He was seriously devoted to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and not much else.

Women were a distraction he didn’t need or want. He and his three brothers had embarked on this journey in Severe and nothing was going to get in their way, especially not Lola Steward. Lola was young, carefree and came from a wealthy family. Everything Jacob thought about Lola wasn’t true. She was hiding her true self behind a lot of sass and pain. She had suffered tremendous loss in her young life. Lola was running away from her pain.

There’s a spark between the pastor and Lola Steward. A spark he refused to act on. When Jacob was ready, he needed responsible and conservative attributes in a future wife. Lola was none of those things.

Lola was temptation in short shorts and tight t-shirts. Jacob had already been tempted and passed when he was in high school and college. He found himself on his knees praying many nights, questioning God’s motives on why he needed this test now.
