Synopsis
Two glitzy end-of-year parties. Two mysterious murders. One innocent baker whose yummy treats are the common denominator at the scene of the crimes.
When Jess's bakery is commissioned to cater the treats for two end of year parties on the same day, she's overwhelmed but happy at the opportunity to surprise the guests with her tasty treats and more importantly, improve her bank balance. She reluctantly puts up with the rude behavior of two people in charge of the parties at both organisations.
When one person dies, at one of the events, it seems Jess is once again at the right place at the wrong time. However, the subsequent murder of someone else at the other event, at almost the same time,who was eating her treats, sets alarm bells ringing.
Could both deaths be linked?
Jess is left bewildered and enraged when local detectives suggest that her desserts were the one piece of evidence found at both murder locations. The stakes are further raised when certain characters in both deceased lives are revealed. It seems there is more to both murders than meets the eye.
