Synopsis

This portrait project began as therapy for myself and grew into
something quite unexpected. I painted the portraits of 101 NHS and
key workers through breast cancer treatment and covid, presented
where possible with a little ceremony, bling and publicity ...... a little
morale boost at a very difficult time.
This book has captured snapshots and reflections of our covid
experiences before they are forgotten, so many different experiences
giving a little insight into the impact of covid on individuals and our
communities over the last three years. This has now become a ‘team’
book, a local story of our shared journey through covid. HOPE has
been a constant companion on our journey ............. HOPE for a
vaccine and survival (it sounds a bit dramatic now, but that is how it
felt at the time).

All proceeds of this book goes to St Nicholas Hospice Care.
