Synopsis

TRAPMAN is a fascinating mash-up of retro, crime, sci-fi, fantasy, fairy tale, noir, mythology, comedy, and just engrossing, page-turning storytelling. The world-building is brilliant and the characters are so clear and easy to imagine. Miele's use of creative book titles to move the stories and character development along is so clever and LOL fun; it seems he laughs at himself and we laugh with him gratefully. That there is a basis of dignity and morality and a return to heroes in this book is exactly what we need right now.
