Synopsis

Once again King Arthur (Prince Owain) must summon his Red Cloaks and ride to war. What he doesn't know is that assassins have been sent into the Middleland Forest to find and murder Gwen.
A king from the south, having heard about King Erbin's massive store of gold, leads a vast army of Saxons into Dumnonia, where he causes terrible slaughter and torture until he finally discovers the exact whereabouts of the hidden treasure.
While this is happening, a young girl loses her parents to the spears and swords of Irish raiders. Alone now, with growing anger as well as despair she decides to somehow make her way to Viroconium, where she'll find Kareen and beg her to teach her how to fight and kill so that she can avenge her parents.
Into this mix of trauma blossoms young Morrigan, Rohanna's daughter. Nearing her womanhood, the beautiful golden child is attracting unwanted admirers, one of whom is determined to make her his own but, Morrigan has already chosen the man she wants to give her body to.
Bedwyr finally finds love; Gal, still suffering the loss of Seren doesn't want to fight the invaders; Cieren ap Callum demonstrates the extraordinary fighting skills of Brigantian horse warriors; a new Dragon of the Red Cloaks is made; the Merlin succumbs to madness when demanding from the Mother Goddess what she doesn't want to give.
Add to this a menacing, ghostly presence that visits the Merlin, and King Arthur might have to face and fight a series of challenges beyond anything he has yet endured.
The Grey Book Of Trevena opens news windows and introduces new characters, some of whom are determined to twist the knife of Briton's end deep into the Pendragon's guts. Love is blind and love is beautiful, love is freedom and love is death.
