Synopsis

Preparing to be married to a passionate fiancée raring to go is enough for some young men. When it coincides with preparing to be ordained as a Church of England curate it is more than enough.
Into a social and ecclesiastical world of volatile moral attitudes Don Keeye and Anna Rye boldly go. Intending to have a relaxing pre-commitment Frolicamping trip on their own to the sunny beaches of the south of France they instead find themselves clashing with motorway villains involving a motorbike accident in Burgundy at the pilgrimage centre Taizé and foilng people-smugglers in not-so-liberal-these-days Saint Tropez.
They are called on to administer serious tender loving care (Anna is a TLC specialist) to vulnerable friends and strangers alike. They aid the escape of a refugee from the smugglers. They collect two stranded young people from the motorbike incident at Taize and squeeze everyone into their Clio car to return by way of romantic Paris back to the south of England to face more crises: a sad death and a joyful marriage of new friends from France; and a shattering crime discovery. Eventually they can move on with the marriage and ordination plans and survive a rather unusual work place intitiation.
This novel is a pot-pourri of divine experiences and human wit. Including three weddings and two funerals. Plus two fires and a lot of getting wet. It is set at the end of the twentieth century and Includes some characters from the previous Shripney and Pulborough stories. It is a direct sequel to Store in a Cool Dry Well.
