Synopsis

Charles Boles is coasting through life as the Assistant
General Manager of The Carlton Hotel, when it all
hits the fan.

He loses his wife to Covid-19, and then his job
and life savings. He lost his daughters’ respect long ago.

In desperation, he turns to robbery, but since he’s not
really a criminal, and knows nothing about theft,
his ‘heists’ never seem to go as planned.

Charles thinks he’s losing his mind when he is visited
by a robin who speaks to him in his wife’s voice.

Carrying on his dead wife’s causes, he campaigns for
recycling and the elimination of single-use plastic,
while also helping people with life advice.
All during his robberies.

Without ever intending it, Charles becomes a folk hero,
like Robin Hood. The entire city of Lincoln, Nebraska,
cheers him on in his amateur criminal exploits.

But then a sexy online vlogger and a broken-down cop
both discover Robin Hood’s secret identity.

Can Charles reconnect with his estranged daughters
while somehow remaining free as a bird?
