Synopsis

This book is a practical approach to life. It is intended for everyone seeking for answers to life’s common questions. In writing this book I have sacrificed deliberation to correctness and simplicity of style so that all might understand and be guided accordingly.

What you are about to learn can change your life. These principles are simple, effective, and fairly easy to apply. They have been proven over and over again and they will work for you if you will let them.

You cannot go back and start a new beginning but you can start today and make a new ending.

• Relationships that were never mended even to death (“I am ready to talk to him but he passed away.”)
• Missed opportunities for work and career advancement (“I was considered for the promotion had it not been for the delay of my research.”)
• Failure to get out of poverty (“I almost made it but things got really tough. Life is so discouraging.”)
• Being chained in the grip of debt (“Just this last loan and I am willing to change.”)
• Practically every excuse I can think of when goals, promises, intentions, desires, and commitments are never realized!

THE IRONIES OF LIFE

• Newlyweds argue because of the debt incurred before the wedding day just to feed the people they don’t like and they don’t know.
• Family dissensions arise because of conflict over properties.
• Family and friends only write their letters to loved ones abroad when they need them.
• A lot of people are afraid of their bosses, the rich and the prominent but they rarely sympathize for the poor and the ignorant.
• People are easily angered with family members but are more patient with others.
• If there are no emergencies, people will not have enough money to save and budget but when someone in the family gets hospitalized, they can find a way to pay for a 100,000-peso hospital bill.
• When people have things going well and smoothly in their lives, they pray simply. When they are in trouble, they feel after God.
• Most people when they fail, they blame others.
• People who arrive late for seminars (who live near the venue) leave early. Those who come early (and are usually from afar) leave late.
• When people obtain a thing easily, they take it too lightly. When it is gone, they look frantically for it.
• People want to grow old fast when they are young, but when they are old they yearn to be young again.
• People pay more to be entertained than to be educated.
• Most people act on other people’s idea when they have thought about the idea first but never act on it.
• People work so hard to earn more income until they lose their health and then they lose all their money to restore their health.
• People say it is okay when it is not.
• When people incur debt, they swear in the name of the moon and the stars to pay their creditors but when payments are due, they disappear like a comet.
