Synopsis

"Klondike or Bust" is William F. Ketchum's first hand account of his experience during the gold rush of 1897-1899. It is a story of the danger, adventure, and overall intense and arduous experience of those searching for gold during that time.

From river boat trips through winding rivers and whitewater with lethal danger, overland treks through the harsh landscape of northern Canada, and nearly dying of scurvy, to encounters with dangerous wildlife and taking part in a native american wedding celebration, his story provides in-depth insight into what life was like in that time period and what it was like for the individuals who decided to participate in a journey through the Canadian territory including parts of it that had never before been visited by white men.

Any historians, nature and adventure lovers, anyone interested in the wild north and the gold rush, or just anyone who loves a good adventure story, will find "Klondike or Bust" a compelling read.
