Experts believe that the Austrian Black Tan Hound is a descendant of the Celtic Hound of myth and legend. That makes this pooch related, albeit, distantly to others of its kind, such as the Irish Wolfhound and Greyhound. This lineage also provides some clues about what kind of dog the Austrian Black Tan Hound is.
