The Helper's Crossroads is a model that can be used to help us become conscious of which road we're taking, and to understand what the commonly-encountered effects of each road are. In this book, I talk you through this model and how we can refine our approach to help in a dignified, horizontal and humanising way to create strong, inter-dependent communities. In the second half, he explores different directions the discussion can take in the future, from the application of permaculture design to the growth of sustainable community organisations, to the role that healthism plays in preventing the growth of genuine community health, as well as contemporary issues such as social media and social prescribing.
