Mars has been the focus point of many scientists as well as science fiction writers. In some ways, Mars has the potential to have harbored life and more importantly Mars has a lot of potential for future colonization missions since it is technically the nearest planet that can be colonized. Of course, a lot of terraforming will need to be done, but it can certainly become feasible in few decades. Hence, having a manned mission to Mars will be the first step toward this goal. This book discusses the planet Mars and its atmospheric properties and then goes on to present a case study that has the orbital analysis of a manned mission to Mars.
