You know how we read about the orphan trains? Well, instead of trying our luck as mail order brides, never meeting our prospective husbands until the wedding day, let's go as a group by train. We'll call it The Train of Brides.


Maggie Allis and her friends have many different backgrounds, but all share the same situation... Being a woman alone in New York City in the 1870s. The group of 8 women, plus their eccentric older chaperone, decide it's time to help populate the West. Being mail order brides isn't appealing to them, as they want more power over their selection. As they meet to discuss their situation, Maggie remembers reading about orphan trains in the newspaper, and the group decides to try arranging ways to meet men in small towns as they cross the prairie.


The Bride Train is a novella introducing Maggie, Erin, Annie, and the other women on the bridal train. This is the first in a series of 10 books following each woman as they search for their happily ever after.
