Cuda is an enlightened Neanderthal man, his mother and father believe it was due to his mother having a fall when she was carrying him. From being a child, it was noticed that he saw things differently and was very inventive, to Neanderthal standards he was a genius. His later ideas as a man revolutionised the way the Neanderthals lived. On watching the children building snow barriers for their snowball raids, he was inspired to take the snow barriers a stage further and built a snow hut.. He did it whilst the others were sleeping and then settled down to sleep. When the others saw the hut the following morning, they thought they had been visited by the sky gods and were presented with the snow hut. However, Cuda's mother and father had an idea how the hut came to be there.

This was the first of Cuda's insights and later made other things and introduced new ideas that moved the Neanderthals into a new era. An intriguing story of how the Neanderthal race might have progressed. I have always thought that archaeologists and others have underestimated the intelligence of the Neanderthals for many years, they were intelligent people and it would have taken a simple thing like what happened to Cuda to set them off an new path to future technology...
