Synopsis

As one moves around in ministry, one is amazed and dumbfounded to realize that most Christians are largely ignorant of God's Word. Even common passages that used to be at the fingertips of the average Christian few decades ago are now completely strange to most believers today. The ignorance of God's Word by Christians accounts in large measure for the falling away of the church, the spiritual weakness and defeat of most believers, the emergence of the age of godfatherism and personality worship, and why many Christians fall victim of false doctrines and fallacious teachings.

The key problem is that many Christians don't know the value and power of the Bible and the fact that the whole of their lives depend upon it. This is the primary problem, followed by other secondary problems such as worldliness, busyness, indiscipline, poor time management, and frustration and discouragement when many people come across passages that appear dry or difficult.

This book will help you to have a better appreciation of the power of the Word of God and why it must occupy a central place in your life. It also addresses the Frequently Asked Questions on personal Bible Study. In addition, we present a One-Year Bible Reading Plan, to assist you in a systematic and comprehensive study of the Bible, by which you are able to read the Bible from cover to cover in one year. Finally, we outline basic, powerful and most useful passages that all serious Christians must know by heart. We trust that with discipline, prayer and determination, this book will turn your spiritual life around for good, in Jesus Name.
