Las Marriot was taken approaching aback when he discovered his shop and bar had been broken into on a Monday morning in April. Dalby had been hired to assist him, and Juby had been hired to keep an eye on the shop and bar before an unexpected incident happened.
When Las and Dalby went to the police station, they were in for a rude awakening. They threw stones at the boys, who then chased them down and beat them up. Delly and Dalby were injured in a recent fight with two boys. The boys decided to track down the men they had been fighting, who had stolen fruit from them. The Salmon Gang was a gang of robbers in the late 1800s. Clinch Salmon was a ruthless robber with a reputation for being ruthless. His sons, Welly and Macky, had spent their childhoods in reform schools. The gang's plan was to steal money from Juville and Toby Salmon. The Salmon Gang is the story of five men who try to rescue a gangster from Clinch and his gangsters.
The narrator, Las, and his friend, Dalby, hid their belongings in some bushes before chasing Bender. They eventually caught him and held him until he threw himself into the water. Las and Dalby, along with Bender, found Clinch Salmon's hideout in the woods. They tied up the man and took him to their respective packs. Las then led them out of the house after finding a way to escape from Clinch and his gang, but a lot await them ahead to freedom. The Serial Burglar has the rest of the story.
