A metaphysical comedy set partly in Heaven and Peckham, Expiry Date plunges you head-first into a world of uptight deities, dysfunction, angling, and ornithophobia.
The tale begins with an increasingly cynical and uncreated God - His synapses shot having overloaded on the endless supplications and sheer stupidity of Humankind - persuaded of the need for a reboot, another extinction event, to coincide with His birthday.
Standing in His way, His unintended son, Apollyon, Necromancer, curator, and philosopher, with an affinity for Humankind and for whom space and time are no obstacles. Humanity is not his creation but certainly, his discovery. Thus, as he journeys through time, sowing the seeds of intellectual and spiritual creativity, slowly humanising, he angers God, who resolves to kill him.
Racing against time, Apollyon must travel through natural and supernatural realms and through
Hell to Heaven to confront God in his dacha. To do so, he must first survive the archonic and temporal bounty hunters and assassins dispatched by God and the dark Archangel Metallingus to kill him.
