The journey begins with Frank Martinez, combat soldier and point man, stationed with the 2nd and 16th Rangers in the Republic of Vietnam’s Iron Triangles in 1969. His extensive military training and combat experience did not prepare him for the enemies that lurked within his mind and body. Coming home did not remove the nightmares gleaned from the hell hole of combat. Shunned by his fellow Americans and protestors, many veterans felt isolated, abandoned, judged, and damned for fighting for freedom and serving their country. They were exposed to far more than emotional turmoil. Our military was exposed to the unforeseen enemy of chemical warfare known as “Agent Orange”. The family shares some of their most challenging moments, trials, tribulations, and triumphs as they discover the havoc Agent Orange has caused within their 3 generations. This book is written from a place of love, healing, and understanding. The sole purpose is to spread education and awareness to individuals potentially affected and to know you are not alone. Together we can make a difference.
