Synopsis

Wilfred takes his little dog on a moonlit stroll, as not all dogs can wait until morning. And there they stumble upon a little elven creature who draws them into his world. Dressed in slippers and dressing gown, Wilfred has no choice but to accompany the creature beyond the elven gate. The elderly Wilfred, who is filled with an old-world charm, meets each new challenge with a dark sense of humour. But can Wilfred and Fudge ever make it back home before the gate closes forever?

A mother's heartfelt quest to find her adopted son, amidst fears that his birth family may not be of this earthly realm. Where can the adoptling be hiding? And will he want to return?

The final piece of work tells us where the elves actually came from, and how they are still revered in some parts of Ireland. Thousands of years of historical accounts, including newspaper coverage have been pored through to find out who these creatures are, and how their lives have intertwined with ours. A must-read for any Tolkien fan who's interested in the real origin story of the elves, as they were believed to be real by most people until the 20th century.

This book contains a small amount of swearing, so is aimed at more mature readers.
