Are modern biologists behind the curve in identifying life?This work so argues, with a call for reinstating Linnaeus’ abandoned Kingdom Minerals as a supra-domain of life so as to liberate biology from the limitations of protein. The book provides evidence from natural history and academic research that technology is a form of life and that we are not just another species. The arguments that machines live and behave as species, in association with humans, is not presented as a piece of science fiction, prediction or clever projection; but aa the status quo as is and has been for thousands of years. The book proposes a correction of the current taxonomic orders to include two new mega life-groups namely the Homocybernetica, comprising the Cybernetic tripartite; humans, machines and culture, and the Cybernetica comprising the novel AI technology and the ancient natural mineral cycles. The proposed taxonomic order Homocybernetica closes a loop for systematics by being the missing link between the biological and physical realms known collectively as Nature, and a nod of convergence between animals and the intelligent robots.
