John Gentry is a retired entrepreneur living atop a mountain in Durango, Colorado. He has had a devoted lifelong interest in exploring the meaning of existence. After receiving his M.A. in Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica in 2002, he has continued his exploration through writing, study and relationships. This book follows him through one year of his journey to Somalia, Africa distributing food to refugees as a volunteer with C.A.R.E. International. This singular experience profoundly changed his life as he reclaimed his lost heart and began loving the world and himself again.
