Synopsis

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS BOOK OF POEMS I read a lot of poems (mostly on the internet where they are posted daily on Facebook and AllPoetry.com and others). I thought it would be nice for me to collect these poems and make them available for others while acknowledging these poems by my personal standard of what I like. I cannot read every poem posted everyday. So I should say they are the best of what I come across in my daily reading of these internet sites.The process is simple. I see a poem I like and I copy it into this book with the authors name or a screen name or profile name if I can find one. Most of the poem I comment on, some I don’t for various reasons.I will save the poems for the month as a pdf and link to them from my main website at https://drjohnworldpeacejdpoetry.com/harvestedpoems.aspAt the end of the month I will publish the poems for that month in paperback through KDP Amazon. The monthly editions will for sell for $12 on Amazon,com under books and Dr John WorldPeace JD There is no compensation. The poet can put the fact that he or she was selected to be in my harvest on his or her resume. In time, soon, I hope my harvests will be considered in high regard to reading and a valuable addition to their poetic resume.All poetry contests and prizes and such are corrupt manipulated and biased. I am without notice acknowledging poems that I come across mostly on the internet.If the poet does not want his or her poem in my harvest, he or she just sends me an email at drjohnworldpeacejd@gmail.com and I will remove it. I will need the poem’s title or first line and the page it is one in the book where is it listed. ie Great Poem Jwp Harvest Poems November 2020 page 87.I will publish the poem as I find it on the internet. In other words I will not edit it in any way.I am open to editing this book if the author sends me a request. These books are published as they are ordered by Amazon. So if I receive an edit it will make it and it will be in the next books published.November 2020 is the first edition of this serious. I am sure I will modify the format as time goes on.Jwp
