Synopsis

Years ago I looked at life and found one vast, blooming confusion. So, out of curiosity, I set out to resolve it, to bring it order. Thus, I embarked on a journey of discovery, of self and life. But along the way I also discovered you. You will find yourself on page after page.

But my new discovery-adventure did not come easy. Piecing life together was like excavating dinosaur bones found sticking out of the Grand Canyon. I mounted a one-man expedition to find them. I gave it six months. Eight years later I staggered back, dusty and tired, but I had enough fragments to reconstruct the entire beast.

And now you will trek with me on that same journey. You will climb a mountain and hike serpentine trails, uncover a major conspiracy, beware the circling demons, meet Ochwiay and Sawoni, and the Junto, and hike the Knife Edge to a great promontory then learn the lesson it holds.

Expedition is also a philosophy highway. It embodies my personal philosophy, my beliefs, that I scoured from the bones. But my dig unearthed unforeseen results; I had to shed some conventional beliefs. It seemed I was going against the grain of society. Thus, my philosophy might be hard for some, but I must face my truth nevertheless.

By book’s-end you too will have a philosophy, your beliefs. You will come to many forks along this highway, each tempting a decision, to accept my belief, or stay with yours. You will come to terms with everything you believe about everything. We are what we believe.

And, too, by book’s-end, the vast, blooming confusion of life will be resolved.
