Synopsis
Unabashed is the real-life story of Bryan Hertweck's enslavement by and liberation from alcohol. This book shamelessly describes both the spiral of his relationship with alcohol to its bottom and the path that led him to peaceful living and freedom from addiction. This memoir strives to provide comfort, hope, and inspiration to others seeking recovery. The book is built on eight poems that Bryan wrote while in residential treatment. Bryan Hertweck has been a father, husband, professor, car enthusiast, dog lover, volleyball player, and recovering alcoholic. “Author” now joins the list as Bryan strives to help others avoid the suffering he has experienced. Bryan has also now created a nonprofit, Alcoholisnt, (https://www.alcoholisnt.org/) that will work to alleviate the suffering created by alcohol and alcoholism. All proceeds from the sales of this book go directly to Alcoholisnt.
