In the year 2003, Amy began sponsoring Jebastin, a young child enrolled with Compassion International in Chennai, India. A few years prior to that, Jebastin lost his mother due to a heart condition and his father was absent in his life due to alcoholism. He was accepted into the child sponsorship program at age five. As an orphan, he “claimed” Amy as his mom when he received her first letter.Little did either of them know that almost 20 years later, and after many letters and texts, they would meet in person. And not only would they meet, but that a true mother-son bond would be realized. This story is a testimony of God’s faithfulness during the challenges and triumphs in both their lives. The prayer of both their hearts is that this shared testimony will “raise a Hallelujah” and bring glory to Jesus’ name. That His love and power would be seen in this story. That for all who read this testimony, He would bring greater awareness of the ways He is working - even if you can’t see it or feel it. They also hope that you will be prompted to share your own testimonies more often as a way to find victory and to encourage others. Revelation 12:11 “They triumphed over him (the accuser) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”
