The Walk of a Prophet will take you on a journey as Julian faces the challenge of mental illness. Many may feel that mental illness cannot attack someone in the Christian community unless one has strayed away from God and backslidden in some way or just taken their eyes off God, letting the Devil seep into their mind. This book sheds some light on how we can become attacked with many things and can be brought under the subjection of negativity if we do not yield our lives completely and earnestly to the Lord. Well, Julian, an intelligent prophet/minister, succumbed to mental illness when he was young, but his family didn’t seek help or make the church aware that a family member was going through this sickness, which was swept under the rug until one day it resurfaces when Julian is having his best life.
They don’t want to become embarrassed about having a preacher's son being troubled with mental illness. Julian doesn’t understand why he acquired this thorn and is eager to rid himself of this sickness. He flees to his brother, Marcus, who lives in Australia, to find some kind of solace. Marcus had his demon that he had to fight before leaving home to join the military. So the two siblings understand each other well, and they embark on a spiritual mission.
Australia opens up a whole new spiritual world to Julian, and he embraces its welcome. Julian is engaged to get married, and his fiancée, Tori, is a sweet and loving lady, but she is afraid of this mental illness that Julian has and is worried about their future together and postpones the wedding, and then later she succumbs to her woes, and their lives are turned upside down, and it seems all their hopes and dreams are failing. So how do they still have faith in God?
