Synopsis

Jason Anson is officially the luckiest man on Earth. This is a bit like being the tallest person in a room full of people who have already left.

While the rest of humanity was busy being invaded by the Danti, dodging laser beams, and undergoing inconvenient mutations into either well respected Powered Individuals, or the ever-so-slightly less popular "Zombies", Jason was in a coma. He woke up to find that the world had moved on, the currency had changed to "One World Dollars," and his girlfriend, Emily, had traded their engagement ring for a career in global intelligence and alien-thumping.

Then things got really weird.

For the simple act of carrying an old lady’s shopping across a perfectly empty street, Jason was handed a lottery ticket. Now, he’s the richest man in a world that is still trying to figure out if it's a utopia or a comic book. With 287 billion OWDs in his pocket and a best friend who treats the apocalypse as a spectator sport, Jason has a simple plan: use his infinite resources to win back the girl.

The problem with being the richest man on Earth is that everyone else has a very specific idea about how you should spend your money... and most of those ideas involve you being dead so they can have it. Between exploding conferences and fictional monsters come to life, Jason is about to learn that while money can’t buy love, it can certainly buy you a very expensive target on your back.
