This book emerged based upon the dissertation work produced in fulfillment of Marcilio's Master Degree in Marketing Management at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston/UK. At the time he was awarded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (cim.co.uk) the Prize for the best Marketing Master’s Student, becoming so the first Brazilian ever to receive such a recognition. Although the publishing of this book comes out some years after his postgraduation, its content is surprisingly actual and daring as it can provide the reader a unique approach to a critical analysis of what has been written and said about marketing throughout all these years. Please do not take this writing as pretentions or simply exhaustive. It humbly invites you to take this trip towards the possibility of widening our way of perceiving marketing.
