This book has been written to help parents of children in England with special educational needs (SEN) to get the support that their child is entitled to, morally and legally. Covering SEN provision, EHCPs and the appeals process, each chapter has been set out as a number of questions and answers, making references to the laws in England where appropriate. The answers are based upon the authors experience of working in local authority schools for 18 years, the last five of which was as a SENCo. The author is now an independent special educational needs adviser and assessor, working with families across the whole of the UK.
