Synopsis

What was supposed to be a family reunion was about to reveal both a haunted past and a future controlled by a dark demented mind. The secrets and the horrible truth showing itself were more than Diana could take. But it was not just her, also her best friend and her family that were drawn into the circle of madness that she found herself trapped in. Tormented souls on all sides were closing in on her and she could not see a way out, until an unexpected ally gained the courage after years of anguish. The lake shows how society can fail people on every side. The consequences of cost cutting and the horror of not dealing with problems people endured from being passed over by the bureaucracy and society. This story tells of the monsters and their victims, hidden secrets and personal demons going unchecked and therefore spiralling out of control. This is one such incident, one such nightmare and one such tragedy.
