Synopsis

What the Heart Proposes The Poet Discloses is my forty-sixth book of published poetry and brings my total number of published poems to more than 3,000 in 46 volumes. You will discover I have a serious side, a mischievous side, and a humorous side to my writing. Think of me as a triangle or pyramid with secrets hidden inside the chambers as in the great Egyptian edifices. My poetry is meant to touch the hearts of every man and woman regardless of their station in life. I begin with my usual two sections devoted to love and romance. If I were inclined to market my poetry, I might affect the title of Dr. Good Love. I am one of those romantics who feels the timelessness of love in all its classical forms and eternal fantasies. I agree with the popular song and phrase, “What the World Needs Now is Love, More Love.”The ten sections after the love poems contain all levels of subject matter, capability, interest, and moods. Always I must write on section with clean humor and unadulterated comedy. The subject sections after that flow from personal interests, ecumenical observations, elevating the mundane, providing advice, and exercising my Christian and patriotic values. This volume contains a highly insightful series of poems regarding the future of American society. Our future can be a blessing or a curse as can all futures determined by freewill and the will of the people. My poems reflect my ability to operate at any level of sophistication. Proof is in the number of my poems now published by the Society of Classical Poets, as well as shared online and in specialized collections such as Western Writers and my college poetry annual.
