Synopsis

The term 'Sherlock Holmes' has come to indicate an ascetic, meticulous observer, one whose deductive powers were useful for the detection of many a criminal and the resolution of many a literary mystery. But surely there was another side to the man, and also to his faithful companion and 'Boswell', Dr. John Watson? What sort of men were they, what were their backgrounds, what were their concerns? Over the years many have tried - with varying degrees of failure - to emulate Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle's original writings; there are even humourless obsessives who will criticise every comma they deem misplaced in the Canon. Nevertheless, we now present a new collection of stories, discovered by accident, possibly even written by accident, and certainly designed to be read by accident. Rather than the detective's Casebook, this is more a Bookcase, mixed volumes standing side by side and on those vague borders between fiction and fantasy. The reader may explore further - at their own risk.
