This book is simply me, Luke James Wakeling, speaking from my experiences of what happened to me at such a young age – what I went through and yet still pursued my dreams. I’ve written this book to convey hope to others who are dealing with or have dealt with adversity. Those affected by cancer or know someone that is. That you can beat the disease and live out your dreams and aspirations. That you can live a great life after treatment. Not only cancer but you can be successful with a broken family. Or even getting told you’re not good enough from a football academy; it isn’t going to define your career. Even being bullied. I’ve been through all of these. I speak from the heart in hope I can help others. Setbacks like these are just life’s lessons. How you react, depends on the type of person you are. Ultimately who you want to become. Throughout my book, you will experience the good and the bad, my happiness and my sadness. What it feels like to be hit with adversity at a young age multiple times – my anger, my raw emotion, everything. You get to see inside my head and feel what I’ve felt. Health is everything. You only have one life, so live it to the fullest.
