Synopsis

From a child, my mother embedded in my sister and I two things, we had to go to college and earn a degree, and that we had to marry a nice man. There was no in between. I, however, was reluctant to love or to allow love to find me. I gave my entire life to my education and becoming a successful woman. I did not care to marry, or have a man to provide me with the life that I wanted, that he would surely only serve with conditions. Imagine my surprise when I was captured by cupid's love arrow and married my very handsome and very successful husband, Charlton. Life for us was good too. He made sure that everything that I ever wanted or needed was at my disposal. Have you ever become blind to the things that were always right in front of your eyes the entire time? Is that what love does? Feed us false hope, and give is a fabricated sense of what love could be so that we ignore what we know that it really is? I was no fool, and I wasn't going to allow love to cause me to become one. They say that all is fair in love and war... you fight for what you want and for what is right, you fight against the enemy. But what are the rules when you are married to the enemy? Who lives? Who dies? Love is supposed to protect, trust, hope, persevere. What are the rules when it does everything but? I had to find out, and so will you, in Married to the Enemy.
