Synopsis

A small eatery at Istanbul’s Bosporus becomes the springboard for some colourful diners to follow their hard-wired instinct to walk the path of sheer greed. A bunch of fanatics who search by hook and by crook for artefacts in solid gold, rumoured to be hidden in tahuantinsyo, the Empire of Four Regions, the long gone Empire of the Inca. Looking for replicas of Inca sun god inti, hand sized llama, maize and avocado as much as for steles with golden hieroglyphs and golden images of gods. Bygone items thought to be hidden in some necropolis of ancient Nubia, the Kingdom of Kush.Eventually finding artefacts which turned out to be as lethal for them as a bullet through the head or the ingestion of half a gram of batrachotoxin, the neurotoxic chemical carried on the skin of phyllobates terribils, better know as Colombia’s golden frog to herperologists.
