Synopsis

Two worlds – entangled and overlapping but always separate from each other. Except for when they are not. Ten years-ago Joseph built a machine to open a doorway between the worlds. At the first proper test his research partner David crossed over and became trapped when the doorway closed unexpectedly. Joseph has been trying to find a way back for David ever since, hoping against hope that in the other world, David is still alive, and still wants to come home. Helen spends her free time gazing through into the other world, technology allowing her to look but never touch. The shining beings that she sees are magical, wonderous, and it seems that everything worth anything lies over there, just out of reach in another world. Cal has two of those beings from the other world trapped inside him - disembodied voices riding the space between his body and soul. They came through to this world as explorers and adventurers, but so far haven't found a way to break free from their reluctant gaoler. One year on though and things are looking up. The voices have been patient, and they have a plan; Cal's survival just isn't part of it.
