This little book is a Theosophical look at the Buddhist concept of Nirvana, largely with the author ruminating on his own impressions and experiences with the topic, but also sometimes from a historical angle. Both Annie Besant and Charles Leadbeater contributed forewords to this text, and some material as well to a lengthy appendix.

It contains, also, some poetry, largely romantic in form, within sections dealing with the hyperbolic splendor of this heightened state of existence.
