Synopsis

The book ‘A Man’s Fate’ contains a short memoir about the forceful imprisonment of a young Jewish boy in Nazi concentration camps during the Second World War.
There is no greater gift than a human life. And this gift has to be utilized for the good of all humanity.
However, the world works differently. Our life is subjected to challenges and dangers created by the human himself.
Who needed to “free up” Bessarabia just to set up the indigenous population against the Jewish people? Why did German and Romanian Nazis make the Jewish Question one of the primary goals of their invasion while they had more important targets in order to win the war?
How was it allowed for a 13-year-old boy to spend 3 long years in a concentration camp instead of attending school and studding to become a better contributor into the human evolution?
How come this young boy survived primarily due to two random cases that happened to him:

1. Accidental reunion with his parents’ friends who hid him on the attic while others were shot by the Germans
2. By chance, meeting the clerk from the division headquarters who gave him a suggestion which changed his life in a positive way

Why did the Soviets forced this Jewish man out of his job when he asked permission to leave the country? And why have they kept him in the country for over 10 years refusing him to leave?
It may seem that the author believes in demons and angels yet none of it was any supernatural. It was a daily hard work and fight for survival.
At the beginning of the book, author provided philosophical thoughts that there are falls in the life of every person yet everyone shall know how to bring himself up from being down and move forward.
Author feels that it was a constant fight for survival his whole life.
Six million people just like the author have lost their lives during the Holocaust. Crimes committed against Jews were transgressions against all mankind, against morality, ethics, civilization, and culture. While Michael Zilbering survived the Holocaust, he understood that he has to dedicate his life, his skills and knowledge for the benefit of human society.
Just imagine how the humanity might have looked like if all these innocent, talented, skilled people have not died ahead of their time. How much more the humanity could have benefited by their contribution.
Let it be the enlightenment to the future of the humanity.
The lessons of the Holocaust about the nature of the human evil, the need for vigilance and the importance of individual responsibility are needed now more than ever. We live in dangerous times when echoes of our past resonate everywhere. We are again in the world of war, in a world where madmen threaten America and Jews with anti-Semitism is growing increasingly visible through the world.
We are here to remember and not let others forget.
This book could be used in the fight against Holocaust doubters and Anti-Semitism.
