Synopsis

When you read "Looking Unto Jesus" by Isaac Ambrose you’ll undoubtedly come to the same conclusion that I have over the years. There’s a lot to be mined in the writings of the old divines, the puritans and those who followed, many of whom became important participants in our American Heritage.
The problem, of course, is the language. Although they write in English, it’s not modern English. As such it doesn’t trip off the tongue as it should. But even so, the Spirits work through them is marvelously rich and beautiful, and often very moving. As long as the spirit moves me to do it, I’d like to take some of these wonderful writings and make them more accessible to we of this century who love the Lord and want others to love Him, too.
"Looking Unto Jesus" is a reasonably long work. My intention, Lord willing, is to break it down into more digestible, both sweet and savory chunks, so that we, who are very busy, being bombarded continually by things of this world, can enjoy it a bite at a time. This volume is book 3 of 9 and if gives us a look at Jesus as He carries our the great work of our salvation in His birth, in His incarnation. You won't find a more detailed, more thorough, more beautifully constructed, more just plain magnificent discussion of this subject anywhere, and it was written some 450+ years ago in a peaceful lodgings one a lovely British estate.
"Looking Unto Jesus - Book 3" is truly a wonderful work. There were times, even with the difficult language, I was carried off to great spiritual places as I read. That said, though, the thing I like most about it is that it was written by a man who put God ahead of everything else, even His own livelihood and the Spiritual position he held. Read the brief biography I put in this booklet and you’ll see why I admire him so.
Please enjoy and take to heart "Looking Unto Jesus - Book 3."
