Everyone’s life has a story. Mine began in the North of England in 1933. Join me on my journey, when, as a young girl in World War Two I would often find myself being carried from my bed down to the dreary bomb shelter in the back garden, where my family would remain until the “All Clear” siren sounded. This meant that the German bombers had completed their raids and were now departing. One grows up rather quickly after experiencing such traumatic events. I entered World War Two as a child, and emerged a much more mature young lady. My life took a dramatic turn of events when I moved to the United States in 1955. I must admit that, for the first couple of years I felt like a fish out of water. I was a stranger in a foreign land. This was no-one’s fault; it was just a tremendous adjustment for me, being the insecure person I was at that time. Through countless trials and tribulations I managed to achieve some remarkable accomplishments; this in no small part was due to the love and support from my family. My journey allowed me to travel extensively, and to make the acquaintance of the many thousands of people I have had the pleasure to know. I believe I encountered an amazing amount of dramatic diversity; probably more so than the average person could even begin to imagine.
