Synopsis

'The Foreign Secretary RIP' describes a selection of varied political occurrences, all of an unexpected nature and of course all of the sort to display the capabilities of those politicians involved. Such is the stuff of the everyday life in any Nation’s Government. At the same time there are events in which those involved would prefer not to see the light of day; indeed, some people go to great lengths to avoid the revelation of a past family scandal or current catalogue of circumstances whereas the simple act of acknowledging a set of difficulties may not even make the news. However, arouse the media and nothing may stay hidden or private for long. On the other hand, a well-known individual may find themselves so surrounded by scandalous revelations connected with other members of their family and those scurrilous scribes cannot resist the opportunity to muddle the muck to bring about a degree of culpability with no more evidence than writing about someone who exists. Throw into the melting pot a prestigious family history with the odd itinerant in its membership, inherited wealth with seemingly no source, an individual of status on the brink of a breakdown, a little birth right embarrassment and the total recipe has wonderous potential for the possibility of unseating a notable Member of Parliament.
