Synopsis

Twelve-year-old Lara must spend her summer at Camp Wolferton while her father looks for a job in Edinburgh. She is thrown into a world of bizarre labs, frightening experiments, and a remedy that gives children the power to control the natural elements.

But Foxwell, the tyrant who runs the camp, makes her life miserable and intends to keep everyone there indefinitely. But what is Foxwell’s big secret?

Aided by newfound friends, trees that come to life, and a spy, Lara sets out to uncover the truth about Camp Wolferton and their abilities. But she soon begins to realize that this might take more courage and wit than she first thought. Can Lara discover the truth about Camp Wolferton before the end of the summer, or will Foxwell succeed in her evil plan to keep the children there forever?
