My eyes opened gradually. The woodland was spinning with action, in any case, in the three days since my getaway I had become acclimated to its many sounds, however the sound I heard faintly somewhere far off was separated from the normal request I had become acquainted with. The sound I heard now had a recognizable ring to it and as I tuned in, I described it as a pony running. Not a wild pony either, as this one was completely shod and henceforth had come from the domain of men that I had left a long way behind. I had never been such a long way from a known way previously.
