C. DeLayne Duffy was born and raised in Portales, NM where she received her degree in Elementary Education with a Masters in Special Education from Eastern New Mexico University. She currently teaches and resides in Texas. Her love of writing began soon after she graduated from high school and continues today. Diablo: The Fighting Rooster is her 3rd published book with more on the way.

Hunter Widner will be attending University of North Texas to obtain a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in studio art. She has been doodling and drawing since she was a child and has loved it ever since and has continued to develop her talent. She has competed in the VACE Program at school since she was in Middle school and has received 4s on every eligible project submission. She was honored when asked to assist with the cover of this book.

Michelle Durham has always enjoyed drawing and painting. Even as a young child, she would spend hours drawing. As a teenager, she received encouragement to continue her education in art and began studying art South Plains Junior College. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree, at West Texas A&M University. After graduating, Michelle only worked in art a short while, but she continued to paint and draw for her own enjoyment. She went on to have a family, with two wonderful children. They are the joys of her life and her whole world. After her kids started school, she pursued her academic career and become an elementary school teacher. She has taught early childhood education for many years and is currently teaching 1st grade. She met Ms. Duffy at the school where they both teach. Michelle currently lives in New Mexico, with her boyfriend Max and two dogs.
