Synopsis
Revival of an Ancient Art
Ekphrasis is Greek for "speak out" and came to refer to a detailed description of a work of art as does ekphrastic poetry today. Visual Verse is a fresh and unique approach to this concept with a variety of 47 illustrations, especially paintings and photographs, combined with a related poem.
This is Tom Despard's fifth collection, but his first one with an illustration for each poem. Feel and think more and enjoy and learn more from these double-sensory presentations on nature, science, history and life.

À propos de l'auteur
Tom Despard is a poet, world traveler, and community leader. His four published poetry collections explore a wide range of subjects and he has also authored four business books. He is the creator of Performance Avenues, a workplace assessment. A retired builder and consultant, Tom is an advisor to the International Network of Creatives in Naples, Florida. He and his wife Gayle spend their summers in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He finds inspiration in relationships with family and friends, through his faith, and reading and writing. Tom stays active thru golf, cycling, swimming, hiking and working out.
