Synopsis

Meet Abigail. She's a precocious young lady with a huge appetite for reading. Her mother, who works at the Library of Congress, regales her nightly with stories of adventure in far-off lands. That worked when she was little, but now, Abigail is growing up and has decided that "I want a book about me". That's not necessarily a "bad" idea, but it does provide her parents with a chance to share a special lesson with their young daughter.

À propos des auteurs

An Emmy-Award winning storyteller, Anthony Knopps most recently ventured into tales for children. This latest story follows in the footsteps of his other efforts to inform and educate young children about important social issues in a whimsical and fun way.

Originally from Stoneham, Massachusetts, Keith took an early interest in illustrating at age 5 after copying a picture of Garfield he saw in the Sunday comics. He quickly realized he could create his own characters just as easily and hasn't put his pencil down since.Keith now lives in New Hampshire with his family (wife of 18 years, Maria and son Marty, age 7). He suffers from ADHD but didn't let that stop him from graduating Suma Cum Laude from Southern New Hampshire University Online while being a stay-at-home dad for Marty. In 2020, just as the world was shutting down in response to the COVID pandemic, Keith was contacted by Anthony Knopps, author of this book, to illustrate it based on the work he'd seen from Keith while he was a student at SNHU. He knew this would be a huge undertaking, but with the support of his family, he knew he could do it. And here it is. "I Want a Book About Me" is Keith's first published work.
