Defining Moments: Chronicles of a Silk is the riveting memoirs of Prof. Kemi Pinheiro, Officer of the Federal Republic and Senior Advocate of Nigeria. Written in Prof. Pinheiro's characteristic lucid and articulate style, the book chronicles defining moments and landmark milestones of his active legal practice of close to four decades. Defining Moments is a collection of Prof. Pinheiro's variegated adventures at the Bar across different court hierarchies. The book provides an insider's account of the workings of the legal profession, and details the author's encounters with some of the Judges, leading counsel and different types of witnesses he was privileged to have come across in the course of his legal practice. The book takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride of an eventful legal career which started with the author as a starry-eyed state counsel in the Niger-Delta where he got his baptism of fire in litigation. This innocuous event in the High Court of Rivers became the foundation on which his later successes at the Bar was built. In this memoirs, Prof. Pinheiro shared both the highs and the lows of his career, including the saga of his elevation to the Inner Bar which was almost never was.
