In the new edition, chapters have been expanded to include more writing on price level and inflation, the theory and concepts of the labor market, and the effects of permanent increase of loanable funds demand.

Arthur Liu is an associate professor of economics at East Carolina University. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Duke University and a M.S. in public policy from the College of William and Mary. Dr. Liu's primary research areas are macroeconomics, international finance, and finance.
